Immortal vampire Hanna Von Fleischer masterminds the plan to take over the Space X-style company and launch the first-ever mission to Mars. Humans can't survive the trip, but vampires will.

Vampires on Mars is a lot of fun and feels specifically targeted at several of my interests (space, vampires, space vampires). Phil Plait (the Bad Astronomer) consulted on the book, which lends a degree of realism to the jargon tossed around by the scientists (and the vampires). There's even an interview with Phil in the back.

Book Feel

Vampires on Mars Issue #1 is 28 pages. The cover is glossy and heavier than the interior pages. The back matter includes the interview with Phil Plait, a process sample showing progress from script to colored page, and a preview of Issue #2.
